Scholarship Application Form Foundation Concept

Introduction

Everyone wishes to attend a college that they can brag about. But scholars know going to a college is not light on the pockets. So? The solution? Get a scholarship. A lot of institutions are willing to offer scholarships or financial aid to scholars who need it. But then, the competition for these is very high.

Mostly, students need to have a flawless academic record, apart from having to write high-quality essays, to be considered for these scholarships. Does that mean average students don’t stand a chance of receiving financial aid for attending college? Well, that is not true at all.

There are a lot of easy scholarships out there, which are just waiting to be claimed. In this article, we take a look at the concept of easy-to-get scholarships, and which ones you can use for furthering your education.

What Are Easy Scholarships and Why Choose Them?

When someone uses the term “easy” scholarship, it means a scholarship program that does not require the student to go through a lot of hassles. There are many scholarships that can be claimed very easily, without having to put in a lot of hard work. Most scholarships end up being a scholarship competition.

College students are supposed to compete and come up with the best essays, to be eligible for the program. That creates huge pressure on all the students competing for the scholarship. So, basically, high school seniors, who should be enjoying and living the end of their school life, instead spend their last year being worried about college, scholarships, and loans.

While meritorious students might be less stressed, average students have a tough time, because all the scholarships that they know of, are highly competitive. If students don’t manage to get a scholarship, they would have to go for loans. They can either opt for a federal student loan or a private student loan. Although federal loans provide the money at lower interests, and no credit requirements, private student loans generally offer a higher amount of money, which might be necessary if the financial gap is huge. But with loans, the problem that arises is, you need to pay them back. So you need to start earning as soon as you get out of college. This situation does not arise with scholarships. So naturally, there is a rat race to win a scholarship.

But there are other scholarships that are easy to avail of and have an easy application process. Generally, scholarship applications come with a mountain-load of paperwork and eligibility criteria. But with these scholarships, the process is comparatively easier. Although the process for applying to each scholarship is a bit different, for most of these, all you need to do is fill up a form, and verify that you are a student. Moreover, these scholarships don’t ask for a minimum grade point. This means, even average students can easily apply for these programs. There are many sites offering a list of such scholarships, so you can check them out. But make sure to read their privacy policy first, before you use the site for participating in such easy programs.

Sure, you would not have to indulge in a scholarship contest by stressing over your merit or your essay. But just because it is an easy scholarship, doesn’t mean you would face less competition. There are a lot more applicants for a less competitive scholarship than for an essay-based tough one. Since there are no minimum requirements, it means the scholarship is given away by a random drawing. So, it would highly depend on luck, instead of your talents. With an essay-based scholarship, you can at least get someone to proofread your application essay, but here, you can just hope that Lady Luck favors you.
